Step 1: God Loves Me

The first step is to know that God loves you – he is crazy about you! He created you and wants you to know Him and love Him back. God loves you so much that he gave his Son Jesus for you.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Step 2: I Have Sinned

The second step is acknowledging the problem! Nobody likes to talk about it, but we have all said, done and thought bad things and lived our way instead of God’s way. The bible calls this “sin” and tells us that it separates us from God. And if you don’t find peace with God in this life, you will be separated from Him for eternity too.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Step 3: Jesus Died For Me

The good news is we don’t have to fix the problem ourselves, because Jesus already did. We find peace with God through Jesus. The bible tells us that we earn death by sinning, but Jesus died for us – in our place so God offers us the free gift of eternal life in Jesus. The good news continues because Jesus was raised from the dead – which we celebrate at Easter!

Christ died for our sins… He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 1 Cor. 15:3-4

Step 4: Choose to Live For God

Would you like to receive God’s forgiveness, have peace with God and gain eternal life? We can’t earn it by doing good things – it’s a free gift received by putting your faith in Jesus. How do you do that? Admit that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised from the dead and choose to turn away from your sins asking for His forgiveness.  

Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
