In this sermon on Daniel 5, guest speaker Steve Hill explores the famous story of Belshazzar’s feast and the literal “writing on the wall.”

By contrasting the arrogance of King Belshazzar with the humility of King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4) and the lifelong faithfulness of Daniel, Steve challenges us to look closely at our own lives. While we may not be world leaders, we all hold positions of influence. Are we using our lives as holy vessels for God’s glory, or are we letting pride, wrong priorities, and the desire to “save face” get in the way of our spiritual integrity?

We are reminded that knowing the truth isn’t enough—it’s what we do with it that matters. Thankfully, unlike Belshazzar, we have a Savior in Jesus Christ who forgives our arrogance and clothes us in His righteousness.
